Developmental and Gator Bits Practices Start Tuesday, May 26th

Developmental (ages 4-6 that need assistance) : 4-4:30pm

Gator Bits (ages 5-6 that can swim the length of the pool): 4:30-5pm

Swim Team Checklist

• Declare your swimmer for swim meets. This can be done on the Swimtopia app or the team website and is due 3 days before each meet. https://fxegators.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
• Sign up for volunteer shifts (4 per family for swimmers ages 7+, 2 per Gator Bit families)

• Pick up your team t-shirt(s) and team suit (if ordered) this week at practice - look for team reps at the pool so you are ready to tie dye at the Intrasquad meet

Intrasquad Meet - Saturday, May 30th

First and foremost- ALL FXE swimmers and divers are invited to come and tie dye their team tshirt! Please read the instructions below concerning tie dying

6 and Under swimmers: please speak with a coach if you are unsure if your child should swim. See them on deck or email them at [email protected]

Swimmers arrive: 8am

Warm ups: 8:15am

Volunteer and timer meeting: 8:30am

Meet start: 9am

We are excited to announce that FXE has partnered with Lead Forward Charlotte to offer a variety of food items available to purchase poolside during swim meets and on the weekends, see more details below.

Raffle will be held for FXE swim team swag bag, reserved parking spot for home meets, and reserved seating for home meets. Tickets are $5/each or $20 for 5 tickets. Cash or card accepted.

Please utilize our parking lot to maximize the most amount of parking for our team. Overflow parking is on Valencia, there is a footpath that connects to FXE. The homeowners ask that we park on only one side of the road (facing Fairview). Please do not park on the grass.

Heat sheets will be available through the Swimtopia app and posted on the team website by Saturday morning.

Poolside Food Service Available at FXE on Weekends and Swim Meets

We’re excited to welcome food service to the pool for the 2026 season every Friday though Sunday and during FXE home swim meets!

Lead Forward Charlotte is a fantastic local organization that helps underprivileged students in East Mecklenburg build real-world entrepreneurial skills. Their students will be running the stand and serving up:

• Chicken tenders & nuggets
• Burgers & hotdogs
• Quesadillas
• Sno Cones
• Snacks & Beverages

A portion of every sale goes directly to FXE, so come hungry and show your support, you’ll be helping both local students and the pool at the same time!

FXE Tie Dye for Swim Team & Dive Team:

*** All swimmers and divers invited****

When: Saturday May 30 Time: 9am to 11:30am

Location: Field by tennis courts 

*Gator Bits/Developmental and 8-Under swimmers MUST have a Parent with them to tie dye. (Optional) Pick up a shirt prior to Saturday May 30 and wash at home before dying.
