Michelle Parkhurst Head Swim Coach |
I have been coaching at FXE since 2015 and I have loved every year! I grew up in Northern Virginia where I swam competitively since age 6. I attended Clemson University and competed on the swim team for all four years. During my time at Clemson, I set 3 individual school records, 1 ACC record, and was a team captain my senior year. My junior year I received the ACC Swimmer of the Meet award at the ACC Championships. I am currently a 3rd grade teacher at Oakhurst STEAM Academy and am completing my thirteenth year teaching there. During my free time, I have really enjoyed going on walks around my neighborhood, reading (especially historical fiction) and working out on my Peloton. I am a proud aunt to my nieces and nephews - Jack, Mackenzie, Olivia, and Harry. They all still live in Virginia and I travel up there often. I currently live with my boyfriend in Charlotte and his 11 year old son, Evan, who will be attending Trinity Episcopal for middle school. |

| Evie Altmeyer Gator Bits Assistant Coach |
Hi, I'm Evie! I am one of the Gator bit assistant coaches, but also assist with ages 7-10. I am a rising senior at Myers Park High School. I've been apart of FXE since 2016- I have swam here for all 10 years and was also apart of dive team for 2 years. Although I don't swim year-round, I have been swimming since I was 5 and have always been in places where I was able to swim. Outside of swim, I play soccer for Charlotte Soccer Academy, where I have been for almost 8 years. In my free time I spend time with family and friends, going on adventures, and going to concerts! Looking forward to a great season! Go Gators!!! |
